This is a super rare sphere of Clear Quartz with blue Dumortierite fine crystal needle inclusions which looks like feather shapes inside the quartz. Known commercially as "Blue Angel Feather" Quartz, the gem appears colourless and (to the unaided eye) featureless in normal lighting conditions. But when a narrow-beam light source (e.g. a small torch) is passed through the stone several distinct blue phantom features can be seen, as shown in all images. Approx. 5.1cm diameter.
