Girasol quartz is a milky white or very pale pink variety of quartz that displays a "girasol effect" – an internal, floating glow of light that moves with the changing light source. Caused by microscopic air and water bubbles within the crystal, it gives the stone a unique, opalescent appearance, and it is sometimes known by trade names such asMoon Quartz, Foggy Quartz, or Pearl Quartz.
