Peridot is a stunning, yellowish-green gemstone that is the gem variety of the mineral olivine. It is one of the few gemstones that occurs in only one color, ranging from bright lime and olive to rich, deep green. Peridot is a metamorphic gem, being created deep in the earth's mantle.
