This is an exquisite lens of Quartz with excellent clarity and multicoloured inclusions of 'Garden', that has been reverse 'Intaglio' carved with two swimming goldfish in an underwater scene feeding on kelp.
Intaglio carving is the process of etching out a design from the rear, so it can be viewed as a 3D picture from the front. This process is done by hand by master carvers and is a painstakingly long process to complete each individual masterpiece.
